The Burj Dubai will be the world's tallest building when completed in late 2008. On September 12, 2007 it became the world's tallest free standing structure at 1,822 feet. The projected final height of the building is being kept a secret but is believed to be around 2, 684 feet (half a mile high). Check out the Burj Dubai website. The Wikipedia has a good article on Burj Dubai.

Much has been said about the phenomenal growth experienced over the past few years in the Dubai Real Estate market. The last 3 years have reported that Dubai investment can be a very lucrative decision, besides the booming Dubai real estate development with unique concepts. The World and Dubai palm island and the growing economy with rising immigrants from all over the world, another reason why an increasing number of international investors are attracted to Dubai is undoubtedly the favorably tax system, where no personal income or capital gains taxes exist.
While Dubai captures the attention of many investors, San Diego is often overlooked.
I came across an article at http://www.brokerforyou.com/brokerforyou/ written by a San Diego real estate broker that claims that sub-prime loans are NOT the main cause of the housing value decline.
It’s really a great little article; you should check it out!
He’s also has an interesting chart on median condo value declines just in the last year in San Diego at http://www.brokerforyou.com/brokerforyou/index.php?paged=2
